A magnificent Art Nouveau bronze figure of a naked water nymph rising from the sea, loosely draped with a small scarf, holding aloft on her shoulder a flaming brazier, fitted as an elecrtic lamp, with a young lad at her feet holding a conch shell. The bronze with fabulous deep brown patination raised on a rouge marble plinth, signed A Moreau and with inscribed title plaque to the fore detailing this model was exhibited at the Salon des Beaux-Arts in 1897
