Animalier sculptures by Jules Moigniez (1835 - 1894)
Moigniez studied under Comorela and made his debut at the salon in 1855, and exhibited there until 1881. Like Mene, Moigniez was particularily fashionable in Britain and many of his compositions of game birds and hunting dogs were aimed at the English and Scottish market. He won a medal at the Great Exhibition of 1862
