Art Deco sculptures by Claire Jeanne Roberte Colinet (Belgian,1880 - 1950)
Born in Brussels at the turn of the century, she studied under Lambeaux and settled in France where she exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1913 and at the Indépendants from 1937 to 1940. She specialised in female statuettes of exotic dancers from striking models in ballet poses to the magnificent dancers full of Eastern promise.
