Established in 1936 Hickmet Fine Arts is now in its third generation continuing to offer our expertise in the acquisition of original and authentic antique bronze, ivory and marble sculpture.
David Hickmet, who joined in 1977, runs the company and is responsible for acquisitions and sales. David is world renowned as a leading authority on European Sculpture from the 19th and 20th Centuries and serves on the vetting committees of major antiques fairs in both the United Kingdom and the USA.
William Hickmet, the Company Secretary and David's brother, is responsible for office and Internet management. As an experienced business manager and computer programmer, William has been instrumental in setting up the efficient organisation of the Company accounting procedures and Internet website design and implementation.
Katy Lawrence, IT and Research Manager, is responsible for internet and research work to further enhance the company profile on the World Wide Web with paricular emphasis on retail internet sales. Katy also assists on the exhibition stands for the major antiques fairs.
Natalie Hickmet, Interior Design Manager and David's better half, juggles looking after the next generation of the Hickmet family with assisting in complimentary planning and organisation for the major events, projects and interior design requirements of the Company.
Peter Meagher, Fine Art Consultant and close friend of the family. Peter has advised the Company for many years offering his extensive knowledge to source, reference and acquire Fine Art Paintings, Art Glass and 20th Century Furniture for complimentary room design and exhibition.

Tony Croston, North of England representation. Tony has been dealing in fine Art Nouveau and Art Deco Sculpture for over 20 years and has combined efforts with our company to offer a full service to our clients. For over 25 years Hickmet Fine Arts operated its retail business from a large estate and gallery close to Gatwick Airport. This property was sold to developers in 1996 and in the meantime the Company has been active exhibiting European marble, bronze and ivory sculptures at major Antiques Fairs in both the United Kingdom and the USA. Sculptures offered by the Company are generally of some considerable age, however our description and condition report will ensure that any faults or repairs that would materially affect the value of an item are fully detailed. If any damage or restoration is discovered within 14 days from the date of delivery, the item should be returned and a full refund will be given. It is specifically understood and agreed that the rescission of a sale and the refund of the purchase price is exclusive and in lieu of any other remedy in law or equity. Hickmet Fine Arts shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages incurred or claimed.
Delivery
We are happy to quote for, and arrange door-to-door delivery of any items purchased from our website; however, if you would like to use your own carriers, arrangements will be made accordingly. We use the services of recognised Professional International Freight Carriers. As these companies offer a fully insured service, clients are covered against any loss, theft, breakage or damage during transport.

Payment can be made using Visa, MasterCard, Switch or Delta, and also by cheque or direct bank transfer. To ensure total confidentiality and security we will only arrange payment in person or over the telephone.
